Brenden Holbrook, a native of Pinch, West Virginia, joined Smith Cashion & Orr, PLC as an associate in 2022. Mr. Holbrook’s practice focuses primarily on representing contractors, subcontractors, and owners in construction disputes. This representation also includes contract negotiation, commercial litigation, and homeowner disputes.
Prior to joining Smith Cashion & Orr, Mr. Holbrook worked as an associate with Brewer Krause Brooks & Chastain in Nashville, Tennessee, where his practice was primarily focused on representing insurance companies in insurance bad-faith litigation, and first-party property coverage matters.
Mr. Holbrook graduated from the University Of Tennessee College Of Law in 2021. During law school, Mr. Holbrook worked with the University of Tennessee Research Foundation, assisting the University in the commercialization of University funded technology. Additionally, Mr. Holbrook worked as a Summer Associate with MacCorckle Lavender, PLLC located in Charleston, West Virginia. While in law school, Mr. Holbrook served as the President of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society and was a member of the Entertainment Law Moot Court Program. Mr. Holbrook was also a member of the University Of Tennessee College Of Law’s Business Clinic, providing supervised representation to locally owned businesses, with an emphasis in business formation, and trademark applications.
Mr. Holbrook received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Alderson Broaddus University located in Philippi, West Virginia in 2017, where he was a four-year member of the football program. While at Alderson Broaddus University, Mr. Holbrook was part of the 2016 Great Midwestern Athletic Conference Championship football team. In addition to his involvement with the football program, Mr. Holbrook was a leader of the Sigma Delta Nu fraternity, and a three-year member of the Great Midwestern Athletic Conference First-Team All-Academic Team.
Mr. Holbrook is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, Nashville Bar Association, and the Young Lawyers’ Division of the Nashville Bar Association.
